Grappling with anxiety and depression?
In today’s fast-paced world, millions of individuals find themselves grappling with anxiety and depression. Life can often feel overwhelming, leaving you stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts and feelings. It’s easy to feel lost, particularly when facing transitions or unexpected changes in your life. In these moments of distress, finding the right outlet to express yourself becomes crucial. Conventional therapy can be daunting, requiring heavy conversations that may leave you feeling exposed and vulnerable. You may wonder, is there a way to heal without having to verbalize every thought and feeling?
Traditional Talking Therapy not working?
Imagine waking up each day with a weight on your shoulders, unsure of how to lift it. You go through the motions, wearing a smile that doesn’t reflect your inner turmoil. Therapy sessions leave you feeling exhausted, and traditional communication methods just don’t seem to resonate with you. You want something different—a way to explore your emotions that feels safe and authentic without the pressure of words. Each missed opportunity to express your creativity can deepen feelings of isolation, and the fear of confronting your emotions can keep you trapped in this cycle of despair. You long for a breakthrough, a way to connect with yourself and uncover the root of your feelings, but traditional methods feel like they’re missing the mark.

What is Art Therapy?
Drawing on multiple areas of your brain in connection with your body’s felt senses, creative expressive processes are integrated with models of counselling and psychotherapy. This allows you to gain a different perspective on issues and find solutions.
No previous art experience is necessary – Art Therapy guarantees to draw out your unique creativity, clarity and confidence to bring you emotional, spiritual, and mindful wellbeing.
How does Art Therapy work?
As part of the training of Art Therapists at Kindred Art Space, they understand and work with symbols, metaphor and storytelling in the art-making process, guiding them to ask you key questions and empowering you to find meaning.
You always hold the meaning, personal associations, and feelings of the artwork. Kindred Art Space Art Therapists hold the energetic space for you in a safe and nurturing environment, helping you unlock your power to find your answers. Just as each art piece is one of a kind, the attached meanings to them are highly individual, very powerful, and hold the potential to create profound and long-lasting positive change.

I’m not artistic – is Art Therapy suitable for me?
There is no need for any art experience, as Art Therapy does not focus on an art outcome. Instead, its power appears within the art-making process itself. Art Therapy is two-fold, acting as a release and as a tool for self-discovery. Kerryn and her fellow Kindred Art Space Art Therapists guide you through processes that stimulate your right brain hemisphere. This empowers you to unlock your potential, look at issues from a different perspective, find solutions, or just find peace within.
Each session is guided by you in a nurturing, safe place at your pace.
