Kindred Art Space supports a great organisation providing support for bereaved parents and siblings – Compassionate Friends. Kerryn, founder Kindred Art Space had the honour of attending a special event at Compassionate Friends where Kerryn’s mother and portrait artist presented a painting of Compassionate Friends founders to the Organisation at their office in Canterbury.
Just like Compassionate Friends – a bereavement support group founded by husband and wife Lindsay Harmer and Margaret Harmer OAM , Kindred Art Space was also founded by husband and wife Rick Knight and Kerryn Knight. Like Lindsay and Margaret, Rick and Kerryn are passionate about their Centre for mental health and work ongoingly to maintain and evolve the nurturing space alongside the specialist practitioner services provided from it.
September 10th 2022 was the unveiling of a portrait painted by Kerryn’s mother and portrait artist Jan Wheeler of the Compassionate Friend’s founding couple Lindsay and Margaret Harmer. This beautiful representation of the founding couple now takes pride of place at Compassionate Friends Victoria head office in Canterbury. Jan Wheeler’s portrait sales proceeds go to Christian Blind Mission -yet another great organisation supporting our community.
